atTesting the Caching Connection

Archer supports ScaleOut StateServer (SOSS) and Redis for caching metadata. After installing and configuring caching in SOSS or Redis, you can test the SOSS and Redis connection in Archer.

Test the caching connection

  1. Open the Archer Control Panel, and then go to the Installation Settings tab.
  2. On the General tab, go to the Caching Solution section.
  3. In the Caching Option field, select 1 of the following caching providers:
    • ScaleOut State Server
    • Redis
  4. If you selected Redis, do the following:
    1.  Complete the Server IP, Port, and Password fields.
    2. To enable SSL, select Use SSL and enter the SSL Certificate.

      3. Note: SSL with clusters is not qualified on Redis for Open Source.

  5. Click Test Availability.
