Running the Job Diagnostics Report
The Jobs Diagnostic report help you determine whether jobs are running successfully and help you troubleshoot problems. A pass or fail icon appears next to each common problem, and a recommended resolution appears next to each fail icon.
Before you can run the job diagnostics report to troubleshoot problems, you must have both a job ID and an instance name.
Run the Job Diagnostics report

Go to the Job Diagnostics tab.
- Go to Plugins.
- Click Job Engine Manager.
- Click Job Diagnostics.
- In the Job ID field, do 1 of the following:
- Type the job ID.
Paste the job ID from the Jobs tab.
- Go to the Jobs tab.
- Right-click the job you want to copy, and click Copy Job ID.
- Return to the Job Diagnostics tab.
- In the Job ID field, right-click and click Paste.
- In the Instance Name field, do 1 of the following:
- Type the instance name.
Paste the instance name from the Jobs tab.
- Go to the Jobs tab.
- Right-click the job you want to copy, and click Copy Instance Name.
- Return to the Job Diagnostics tab.
- In the Instance Name field, right-click and click Paste.
- Click Run Diagnostics.
If a problem is diagnosed and the recommended resolution is to remove the job, do 1 of the following:
- Click Remove Job to run the command to remove the job if your server policy permits.
- Click the Copy to clipboard link to copy the command to the clipboard for manual removal on the SQL server.
