Starting and Stopping Job Processing
Use these task to start and stop processing jobs in the job queue. You must stop job processing whenever you upgrade Archer or suspect problems with your job processing, for example, during peak load and troubleshooting system performance.
Note: If you select the Discontinue Job Processing check box, the change affects all Services Servers in that specific instance of Archer .

Start Job Processing
- Start the Archer Control Panel.

Go to the Servers tab.
- From the Plugins menu, click Job Engine Manager.
- Click Servers.
- Clear the Discontinue Job Processing checkbox.
- In the Actions pane, click Save.
Note: If you clear the Discontinue Job Processing check box for 1 Services Server, all jobs are processed in that specific instance of Archer.
Stop Job Processing
This step stops processing of new jobs while allowing currently running jobs to process. Jobs in progress and their associated child jobs can finish processing.
- Start the Archer Control Panel.
- Go to the Servers tab.
- From the Plugins menu, click Job Engine Manager.
- Click Servers.
- Click Discontinue Job Processing.
- In the Actions pane, click Save.
Note: If you select the Discontinue Job Processing check box for 1 Services Server, no jobs are processed in that specific instance of Archer.
