Configuring General Settings

You can configure the general settings of your instance on this tab.

Task 1: General Settings

For each instance that you add into AIM, you can do the following:

  1. Set the default notification sender address from which all users receive instance notifications.

    Caution: Consult your email administrator before making changes to this setting.

  2. (Optional) Update the default instance locale and time zone for all users.

  3. Set the maximum number of recipients for each email notification. If the notification contains Cc and Bcc fields, this number expresses the total of all 3 types of recipients.

Task 2: Logout and Session Options

In the Logout and Sessions Options section, update the following:

  1. Logout URL which is the destination URL where users are redirected after they successfully log out.

  2. Session Expiration URL which is the URL where users are redirected when their session has expired.

Task 3: Profile Display Options

In the Profile Display Options section, select which profile information you want to be publicly displayed in the system. The display options are not selected by default. You can select from the following options: Login usernameContact informationAdditional item: Username, Title, or EmailYou must first select either the login username, contact information, or both options to enable the additional user attributes.

Task 4: NGRX Options

This option allows you to choose which UI to display to your end-users.

  • Classic allows users to only use the classic UI.

  • Classic Default allows users to use the classic UI with the ability to switch to the new UI.

  • New allows users to only use the new UI.

  • New Default allows users to use the new UI with the ability to switch to the classic UI.

Task 5: Mapbox Configuration

Use the Mapbox Configuration section to validate your Mapbox access token.

  1. In the Access Token field, enter your Mapbox Access Token.

  2. Click Test Connection to test the mapping connection.

Task 6: Microsoft Mapping Configuration

Use the Microsoft Mapping Configuration section to validate your application key for the mapping license purchased from Microsoft for the Bing Maps account.

  1. Enter the application key.

  2. Click Test Connection to test the mapping connection.

Task 7: OpenWeather Configuration

Use the OpenWeather Configuration section to validate your Mapbox Access Token and enable Mapbox reporting in your Archer instance.

  1. In the Access Token field, enter your Mapbox Access Token.

  2. Click Test Connection to ensure that the connection is configured properly.

  3. (Optional) Select the USGS Earthquakes checkbox to enable it.

    United States Geological Survey (USGS) is a third party data provider that collects earthquake event data from research facilities around the world.

    Enabling this provider in Archer allows you to display near-real-time earthquake events on your Mapbox reports in Archer. (See the USGS Earthquake Catalog documentation for information on using USGS Earthquake Catalog.)

Click Save.
