Process Diagram
The following diagram illustrates the overall process enabled by Archer Incident Management.
Defining Response Procedures
Response procedures detail the tasks that must be implemented if an incident occurs. Procedures can be categorized by types of incidents, and multiple procedures can be tied to multiple incidents. Procedures should be defined prior to reporting incidents or requesting investigations.
To define Response Procedures, provide the detailed steps to complete in response to an incident. Select the categories and 1 or more subcategories that relate to the incident. Before saving the Response Procedure, select a priority and attach any supporting documentation.
Managing Incidents
You can report and manage the life cycle of an incident, assign investigators, track legal involvement, send emergency notifications, and attach evidence to the incident record. Multiple incidents can be linked to an incident, and if necessary, escalate an incident to a crisis event.
Any users with create rights to the Incidents application can report incidents by providing the applicable details and assigning the incident to the appropriate users.
Managing Investigations and Ethics Violations
You can create an investigation to look into suspicious activity, threat intelligence, and other information reported outside of the Archer Incident Management use case. You can also report and review ethics violations.
Any users with create rights to the Investigations application can request investigations by providing the applicable details. In the Investigation record, the Investigation Manager then attaches a new Evidence sub-form record for each piece of evidence to record. Once the Investigation record is closed, a DDE sets the Investigation End Date to the current date.
Ethics Violations can be reported anonymously and investigated further as necessary. Any user with create rights to the Ethics Violations application can review Ethics Violation records by providing the applicable details.
