Using Disclosure Management

Disclosure reporting allows you to generate, complete, and review the recommended disclosures for TCFD, selected ESRS and IFRS disclosures, and the content for general disclosure GRI 2. Each report must cover only one standard or framework.

Task 1: Create a disclosure report

Users: ESG Administrators

  1. From the menu, click Admin menu and expand ESG Management.

  2. Expand ESG Management System and click the ESG Management System application.

  3. Select your ESG Management System record.

  4. On the Disclosures tab, in the Disclosure Reports section, click Add New.

  5. Select your applicable standard/framework and program. If you selected ESRS or IFRS, select the required standard.

  6. Set a report owner and approver.

  7. Click Save.

  8. In the Report Dates section, the Start Date and End Date fields are populated based on your Fiscal Year Starting Month set in the ESG Management System record and the current year. The Disclosure Due Date field is set to 45 days after the report end date.

Task 2: Generate disclosures

Users: ESG Administrators

The "ESG - Metrics Management DF6 - Generate Disclosures" data feed runs and generates disclosure records for each disclosure required by the standard/framework you selected. Depending on the standard or framework you selected, you may see a new section or a new tab set. Within each section or tab, click Display Report to open the list of applicable disclosures.

Task 3: Complete disclosures

Users: Disclosure Owner

  1. For each Disclosure record, provide an organization response, and, if needed, attach any disclosure evidence. You can update these fields directly from the report listing, or you can open each Disclosure record individually. Within the individual record, you can also read additional details about the disclosure, add any related organization metrics, and view prior and related disclosures, if available.

  2. The Disclosure Evidence field allows you to attach records from the Evidence Repository application. From the report listing, you can only attach existing records. If you need to create a new evidence record, open the individual Disclosure record, and in the Disclosure Evidence section, click Add New. The Evidence Repository application also includes a workflow to submit, reassign, and approve evidence records.

  3. Click Save.

    As disclosures are submitted, the Disclosure Percentage Complete field in the Disclosure Report updates to show your overall progress.

Task 4: Close report

Once all of the supplied disclosures have been reviewed and are accurate, you can close the report.

Users: Report Approver

  1. In the Disclosure Report record, in the Report Review section, select the Complete Report checkbox.

    The Review Date is automatically populated with the current date.

  2. Click Save.
