Setting Up Call Trees

A call tree is a list of persons, roles, and organizations that you may need to notify in a particular sequence in the event of a breach. You may have call trees for internal contacts, such as a list of senior management who need to stay informed about the response to a breach, or external contacts, such as a list of government bodies that you are required to notify in the case of a breach.

Set up call trees using the following steps.

  1. Create a new record in Notifications and Call Trees.

  2. Provide information including:

    • The user responsible for contacting others in the event of a breach.

    • The user or users who need to be contacted.

    • The message that the Call Initiator is required to deliver.

  3. Save the record.
