Generate a Control Set

Archer provides out-of-the-box controls that you can generate for your Compliance Project. Depending on your level of compliance, you may add any combination of the PCI controls to your compliance project. You also have an option to add and generate Custom Controls as prescribed by PCI DSS Version 4.0.

Use the following steps to generate a control set:

  1. Select the version of PCI DSS in Compliance Project application for which you want to populate Controls.

  2. If you select version 3.2.1, you can generate the PCI Controls. If you select version 4.0, you can generate both PCI and Custom Controls.

  3. In the selected Compliance Project, click the Control Population tab.

  4. In the Populate Relevant Controls section, do 1 of the following:

    • Complete a full assessment scope to populate all PCI Controls.
    • Complete a partial assessment scope. Select Partial Assessment for to create new Custom Controls or select existing Custom Controls or PCI Controls. The Custom Control section is not available for selection if you create the Compliance Project for PCI DSS Version 3.2.1.
  5. Click Save when the Auto-Populate Controls section automatically changes to Completed.
