Notifications in Slack

The Archer Slack app allows you to receive real-time Archer notifications in Slack.

Before you begin

To ensure seamless integration of Archer notifications with Slack:

  • Use the enterprise version of Slack.

  • Enable email notifications in Archer.

  • Set up end users' email addresses and corresponding Slack IDs in Archer.

Note: Only an Archer administrator can configure this feature. End users are not required to install the Archer Slack app individually to use it.

Configuring Slack notifications for an Archer Instance

  1. From the menu, click Admin menu > Notifications > Global Notification Settings.

  2. Go to Slack Notification Settings section.

  3. Click Connect to establish a Slack connection.

  4. Click Allow to grant permissions to the Archer Slack app, then click Save.

Once configured, notifications sent to users in their emails will also be delivered to their Slack accounts. These notifications can only be sent to individual users, but not to email distribution lists or multiple user Slack channels. Users can receive notifications but cannot reply to them.

If you wish to disconnect Slack notifications for an Archer instance, click Disconnect in the Slack Notification Settings section.

Multiple Archer instances can be connected to a Slack workspace. Each Slack notification includes instance details, enabling you to identify the source of the notification.
