Using Workspaces, Dashboards, and iViews

Workspaces, dashboards, and iViews are primarily set up by administrators for their end-users, however end-users can customize some options and create some personal content.

Select workspaces to display

You can customize your navigation menu to show only the workspaces that you use.

  1. From the menu bar, click the User menu, and select Workspace Display.
  2. Select the workspaces that you want to display in the menu bar.
  3. Note: Click the workspace to display the workspace description.

  4. (Optional) Drag the workspaces into your preferred order.
  5. Click Save.

Create a personal dashboard

You can configure personal dashboards only if you have been granted access by your Archer administrator.

  1. From a workspace, click Ellipsis > Add New Personal Dashboard.
  2. In the General Information section, enter a name and description.
  3. In Layout Design section, select the column layout for the dashboard.
  4. (Optional) Attach supporting documentation about the configuration of your dashboard.
  5. Click OK.
  6. To select your iView type, do one of the following:
  7. (Optional) Drag to rearrange the iViews as needed.

Delete a personal dashboard from a workspace

From a workspace, click Ellipsis > Delete Personal Dashboard, and click OK.

Create a personal iView

  1. From a workspace, click Ellipsis > Add iView Content.
  2. Select to create a new personal iView from scratch, and click OK.
  3. In the General Information section, enter a name and description.

  4. In the Options section, select the report or reports that you want displayed in the iView.
  5. To change the display order of the reports in the iView, click the report title and use up and down arrows to arrange the reports in the preferred order.

    Note: The first report listed is the report that is initially displayed to the user.

  6. Select the checkbox for each report that you want to allow horizontal scrolling.
  7. Click OK.

Update an iView display

  1. On the top right corner of an iView, click Ellipsis > Edit Properties.
  2. In the Options section, edit the iView display as needed and click OK.

    Note: The list of available menu options depends on the type of iView that you are viewing and the access rights assigned to you by your administrator.

  3. (Optional) To refresh the iView, click Ellipsis > Refresh.
  4. (Optional) To resize the iView, click and drag the bottom-right corner of the iView, and click .
  5. (Optional) To move the iView, click and drag the iView header to the new location, and click .
  6. Note: Any modifications to the layout or size of the iViews are saved only to the your current session.
